La Municipalidad de Roatán ha iniciado el proyecto de Sistema de Drenaje y Mejoras Viales en la Calle Pública de West Bay, una obra clave para el desarrollo y la modernización de esta importante zona turística del municipio.
La intervención busca optimizar el drenaje pluvial y mejorar las condiciones de la vía, beneficiando tanto a la comunidad local como a los visitantes que transitan por el área.
Como parte de los trabajos, se recuerda a la población y a los turistas que el tramo que conecta con Bananarama y la zona playera permanece cerrado temporalmente. Debido a la presencia de maquinaria pesada, se solicita no circular por la zona, para garantizar la seguridad de todos.

Roatán Municipality begins road improvement project on West Bay Public Street
The Municipality of Roatán has launched the Drainage System and Road Improvement Project on West Bay Public Street, a key initiative for the development and modernization of this important tourist area of the municipality.
The project aims to optimize stormwater drainage and improve road conditions, benefiting both the local community and the visitors who frequent the area.
As part of the ongoing work, the Municipality reminds residents and tourists that the section connecting to Bananarama and the beach area remains temporarily closed. Due to the presence of heavy machinery, the public is urged not to enter the area in order to ensure everyone’s safety.
