Hoy, con inmensa alegría y esperanza, celebramos el hermanamiento oficial de Roatán con Calvià, un paso importante que marca el inicio de una colaboración única entre nuestra isla y un municipio turístico referente de Europa . Este acuerdo, sellado en la Feria Internacional de Turismo (FITUR), entre el Alcalde Ron McNab y el Alcalde Juan Antonio Amengual, abre la puerta a oportunidades de crecimiento en turismo, cultura, formación y sostenibilidad, siempre pensando en el bienestar y el futuro de nuestra gente.
El acto contó con el respaldo del Gobierno de Honduras, el Gobierno de las Islas Baleares y el Consejo de Mallorca. Este hermanamiento no solo es un acuerdo institucional, sino un compromiso real de aprender unos de otros, compartir experiencias y construir juntos un futuro mejor. ¡Estamos emocionados por todo lo que está por venir! 
A new chapter for Roatán
Today, with immense joy and hope, we celebrate the official twinning of Roatán with Calvià, an important step that marks the beginning of a unique collaboration between our island and a leading European tourism municipality . This agreement, signed at the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) by Mayor Ron McNab and Mayor Juan Antonio Amengual, opens the door to growth opportunities in tourism, culture, education, and sustainability, always prioritizing the well-being and future of our people.
The event was supported by the Government of Honduras, the Government of the Balearic Islands, and the Council of Mallorca. This twinning is not just an institutional agreement but a genuine commitment to learning from one another, sharing experiences, and building a better future together.
